spod mix's
here's my all time favourite
hemp cooked in sea salt (loads of)
hemp oil
then mixed with corn, chick peas, and tuna in brine
then add half a bottle of tabasco sauce to 10 kilos of mix
chopped boilies leave for 10 hours then spod away
works really well on hard waters love it!!

Sound Exactly like a danny fairfanny spod mix lol...infact it is Danny fairbrass spod mix...the boilies need to be the new grange by mainline to make it the same people lmao
Re: spod mix's

Re: spod mix's
cant pin down a mix tbh, but the base always has hemp, lots of, from then on it could be any type of combo.

Re: spod mix's
To be honest Hemp is in my spod mix but is not the base mix as there are equal amounts of other stuff and i never use boilie in my spod mix.....ok sometime i do lol
Re: spod mix's
Danny does make a good spod mix there is no argueing that, he is known for being fantastic with particles and spodding, something that was proven on that new free Korda DVD (which I enjoyed)
My mix has a SMALL ammount of hemp, corn, boillie chops, tigger chopps, (if allowed on water) swim stim black, salt, a chillie sauce I found in Tesco in the Polish section, Tuna and occasionally peices of pre prepared prawn.

Re: spod mix's
I am not so much into the seed mixes and rather go with small pellets to carry the liquid foods like liver, yeast and liquid fish to create a smell that links them to the the boilies so that they do not become pre-occ on the seed mix allowing the pellets to break down and creating a direct signal to the boilies rather than other foods.
Re: spod mix's
I think i feel what your saying Mr Opus baits, but im a born again seed lover lol...All the things that your saying about carrying flavour can be achieved with seed mix
I add at a certain stage in my prep said flavours of my choice or can add a flavour which matches my boilies if i wish, and i think if they getting Preoccupied then they love my good old plastic corn lol.........Oh did i mention i can colour the seed as well

Surly you want them to become pre occupied in your swim ? as the longer they are there, the better chance you have of them taking your hook bait
Re: spod mix's
not to the point that this is all they are picking up! seen it on a few waters where you have fish in your swim that are just picking at the small seeds and not your baits as the pellets break down I want them on the boilies.

Each to their own mate
personaly I dont use a lot of boilies, as I would rather keep them in my swim on particles and pellets
to many bolies ..just reduces your chance of a pick in my book and fills them up to quickly it also is far cheaper ...and im just a bit tight LOL LOL
I seed the light lol

Totally agree,Ive had carp turning my swim into a milk bowl and are so Preoccupied that ive drop bait straight on there heads and had instant takes...
And ive found chucking boilies at them all the time with pellets is an everymans game...I like to break from the normal dayticket approach........................
Anyway 25kilo of my seed is £15.49..how much is 25kilo of boilies now days £150 sobs where i go at £5.00 a kilo...
Look im not saying i dont use boilies that would be a lie but im more 10% boilies 90% party blend
