Went to local club lake today. Not much going on on the bottom as the temp was hot today. Had a 16lb 8oz on the bottom which fell to Nash Shellfish Supreme.

Switched to the surface later in the afternoon as was rewarded with this 21lb 8oz Mirror which fell to Chum mixer fished 2 foot from the Nash Controller.

Well done Jeff and your holding that fish better than in the past, it does you as you do it justice.
I love fishing the surface on the club water, I honestly beleive it's given me some of the best fights I have had.

As you are all aware Mr Wrongen and I just had a week on a water in Kent, none runs water and a bloody hard water at that.
Wrongen did have some stunning fish out and I am well chuffed for him, he out fished me 2 to 1, I think he had a total of 12 and I only had 6, for this lake though, it's nothing short of fantastic.

Day 1 saw me bank a low Barny, never the less a welcome fish.

Day 2 saw me beat my PB by 14oz's and it was a very celerbrated ocasion with cheers and hugs, I was so chuffed to see this Mirror in the net I was shacking to much to take the hook out and had to ask Wrongen for assistance while I composed myself LOL, happy NO elated YES!

Day 3 I blanked

Day 4 at 6:10 am I banked another low Barny was chuffed to be back on the fish after 24 hours of nothing, I put the rod back out, a little tight baiting with the seed and a handfull off free offerings (yep good old boillies) and at 8:05 I was in again, this time it was a different affair, the rods behaved differently everything, I was playing a lump! I should point out that my rods are 2 3/4 TC so playing the fish was fantastic and nothing short of thrilling, a while later MY NEW PB was tipping the scales, Now I really was elated, once the photo's were taken and the fish back in the water I was in a daze, nearly an hour or so LOL. Then around mid day I had another take a mid Barny.

Day 5 5:50 pm saw me banking a new fish making a 3rd PB, I cought my first ever Grass Carp, weighing in at 17lb.

Unfortunatly the last days were spent blanking for me, lady luck had been fair and the carp Gods had smilled on me.

I read in another post on PB's that some people don't like telling people what there PB is as they don't want to be judged on it, I have to agree on this but am guilty of asking people what there PB is and I personally don't or wouldn't want to be judged on mine, if someone want's to form an opinion on my fishing and how good or bad I am at it then meet me on the bank and fish along with me, I am happy to listen to any pointers or advice you wanna give, just don't expect me to take it as it is advice and it's my choice if I use it or if I think it will work for me, obviously visa versa.

The 1st PB of the session (Mirror) was 23lb 06oz
The 2nd PB and now my new overall PB (Common) was 27lb 13oz
The 3rd PB and new species (Grass) 17lb
