Re: Delkim vs Micron vs Att's
have had/used both, and have not had a problem with either, so hard to choose between them...

Oh turn it in fella, more like the fact that micron let more people down then delkin...
Was a micron user for years and been let down by water work problems and the other more freaky shite, the sudden battery drain off bullocks......
Had a set of txi plus for a number of years now,and so do all the people i fish with and neither of them have suffered any let downs...
To be honest thinks its down to what you can afford really, which plays a big part in everyones fishing.....anyway Numptys there always Argos for ya lol,i think ive seen a few of you in the KINGFISHER section aint i lmao lol

Re: Delkim vs Micron vs Att's
Have had both ( well I still have them )
but using the new ATT ones at the moment
only problem I found with the Delkims, was if you are fishing them this style below
with the tips right up in the air.

i have been using fox mx's for over 3 years and they have never let me down i still have them but i have i have just bought some Steve Nevilles.
my mate had some TXI and he only had them for 3 months and one off the packed up in the rain so he sold them and bought some Steve Nevilles with a ATTx system

Microns for me. Had SXs, DXRs and now have the RXs , None of em have ever let me down
I even have a couple of the cheap Ms for quick, mobile sessions and they do exactly what they're supposed to.
Unfortunately I don't hear them singing as often as I'd like

One of the few bits of kit that Fox have actually got right, in my opinion. Had the original Delkims - about a hundred years ago - they were very good, but nowadays I use Microns. I have six - somehow?

Re: Delkim vs Micron vs Att's
I think the pricing plays alot in most people choice of alarm.
Delkims just arn't cheep, even there cheepest alarm is around £60. I bought my Mrs these and there a good alarm but to be fair they don't do the Plus's or the TXI Plus's justice, my Mrs got a bonus at work the other month and treated me to my TXI Plus's and I handed her my Plus's and we sold the EV'S, the difference in an EV to a plus is actually more than either her or I anticipated.
I have owned Microns, I had a large set with 3 twisty knobs (can't remember the model MX I think) then I had 3 x MMX and even had a pair of the 20 quid warriors for a while, the MMX was the best followed by the bigger alarms then the warriors, the warriors in my opinion have NOTHING to compete with them in there price range and for anyone starting out on a budget I would steer them straight at the warriors. As I said at £20 a hit they are unbeatable! IMO the problem with the micron is the crap battery life and there tendancy to allow condensation build up inside them on longer sessions. The majority of the micron range is defenatly more affordable to most anglers.
I had no problem with my Delkim Pus's in the 4 to 5 years I owned them and only upgraded because of a bonus, I always wanted the TXI Plus's for the fact that I can have the volume down on the alarm and have all the noise in the bivi with me with the bonus of the anti theft alarm. My Mrs will continue to use my old Plus's and I have no worrys of them causing her any problems.
With the better battery life and it being alot easier to buy a square PP3 9volt battery than those things that go in the microns, plus I honestly feel that a Delkim is more tunable to what ever type of fishing you are doing and the fact I was able to afford my Delkims when I was re-buying I vote a Delkim is better than a Micron, as I have said I have used both so this all comes from experiance, I have read good and bad on both alarms and your gonna always read what you want to find on the internet as somebody somewhere has had a bad experiance with something, as human beings were brand loyal weather we mean to be or not and even when we try not to be we usually end up still being brand loyal, so if you own a Delkim and someone slags it off you usually end up defending it and visa versa.
