2,Ive been popping down there every other day ,keeping an eye on the water.

Frozen Lake
Not as annoying as when it's your own lake and you've still got maintenance to do! first ice just before Christmas thawed for 3 days now solid again!! Forecast doesn't look good for at least another week yet. Managed to get 25% of the area treated with micro chalk last week. Still no grass to cut!!! (indoors on computer all day today).

Re: Frozen Lakes
Just been looking at your puddle on your website mate. The stocking program and netting program was a bit confusing to me(honest)

Confused?
Exactly what has confused you? All of the stock weights can (and will if needed) be verified by the registered French fish farmer that supplied them. Not all of the fish stocked are pictured as most people only want to see the larger ones. I still have more fish on order but at the moment the bad conditions have delayed the delivery.
What we ain't got are any "nuisance" fish (to use your phrasing).
Apologies if my description of lake offends your understanding of my "puddle".

Not confused now
Just seen your edit.
That's about what we have aimed at, a French venue that caters for anglers wanting a pleasant relaxing holiday break, that's secure with reasonable facilities but most importantly the opportunity to catch quality fish, even if they don't have the necessary skills to fish a big water, ideal for a Dad wanting to have some quality time with Son (or Daughter) and maybe even Wife or Girlfriend, or maybe even a couple of pals that are tired of the large difficult venues.

Edit
Sorry Mate, you obviously edited your original while I was writing my reply (first one) it was the bit that you removed I was refering to; you asked what have or ain't you got.
No offence meant.

Re: Frozen Lakes
HI John
Had a look at your website and it looks like a very nice little lake as regards fish stocks I dont think you want to put any more in once you get the next lot the numbers are right for a runs water you will have trouble getting the fish over 50lb with the stock but i take it you know that, when you start to have fishermen there in the summer when hot just make sure you have something in place to oxygenate the lake. I know most people think its a get rich quick having a lake but its not when you go into the investment. Good luck to you and your family.

Biomass
The advice we've worked on suggests that how many fish you can have is determined by the "biomass" in the water and how you look after the water quality. Basically get rid of the small stuff, have a reasonable head of predators to manage the balance, feed sufficient quantity of quality food to supplement the naturals and manage the water quality / oxygen levels; in return your expensive stock will thrive and increase in weight. Downside of that is that as the owner you can't just sit back and enjoy / reap the benefit, hence my original post, reference the work that needs to be done.
