Bloody noddy lol
You know what you sound like somebody i know lolol...
why is it that anglers out there can get soooo the hump from not catching.....????
look i aint saying its nice but when i dont catch in my head im always thinking ive been out witted this time, but next time it will be my time again.....
and will be back to strike again........
Look if you caught all the time it would get boring and you wouldnt end up going..
And you got to experience the highs and lows of all sports and more so in fishing....
LOOK ITS CALLED FISHING,,WHEN WAS THIS SPORT CALLED CATCHING...

lol, i know what your saying, its just frustrating, no one has been catching there for months, the club are spending lots of money on new pegs and making the place look pretty as well as hiking the membership up 30%, when i think they should really be looking at increasing the stock.
Its be nice to see the money were putting in is going to use, but every week there are less and less anglers fishing there.
Re: Granville Ponds, Swadlincote NEW PB
Well if ever one elsh is strugling also ...you know its not somthink you are doing wrong
New PB
well i slated it, and fished it today with a new PB!
My scales only go up to 11lb, could someone tell me what they think it weighs as it bottomed them straight out
Nearly lost it
New PB, can anyone give me a idea of the weight
Nice 8lb 2oz 20 mins after my PB

Re: Granville Ponds, Swadlincote NEW PB
11lb 08oz or 12lb maybe
Now if you were holding it better maybe we would have a better idea.
Nealy of all the stuff you must have read on this forum and you hold your fish like that.
Is it actually against your coat? and why are you wearing your watch still?
Come on mate!
Never-the-less I don't want to take away your new PB moment, well done, they only get more and more specal as they get bigger, so you have alot to look forward to.
CONGRATS

Im still learning
I don't think i had ever been so excited, you couldn't of kicked the grin off my face today!
Im just glad i bought an unhooking mat yesterday!
Im going again tomorrow to see if i can repeat my success!
Re: Granville Ponds, Swadlincote NEW PB
Good luck today mate, remember though carp care is one of the most important things you can learn, and you rarely have to change and adapt it to suit the situation (unlike fishing itself).
Think this way, if you don't handle your smaller fish properly and damage them how do they ever get to be large fish?
If you can't handle a small fish then you have no hope handling a 20+, the bigger the carp get the harder to hold they become.
So nealy, get your carp care down, have a routine for when you catch, (this ends up helping when you night fish, myself and Wrongen have learnt this) then start worrying about how to make, adapt or adjust your rigs.
Well done for buying your unhooking mat yesterday but to be fair it should have been one of your first purchases. It's just as important as your rods and reals, there is no excuse for not having a mat these days as they can be picked up for around £10 or £15, ok thier not the best ones around but thier good to start with.
Tight Lines.

Re: Granville Ponds, Swadlincote NEW PB
Well im as happy today as yesterday, not a PB but the 1st fish i have ever caught on a Zig
This time, its over the mat, no watch and away from my clothing
although i felt a bit sorry for it, by the look of its mouth, it hadn't been treated very well

Well done mate and well done on your carp care!
As for the mouth being damaged it seems to be more and more the norm on so many waters these days, to many noddys not playing thier fish properly.
At least you can feel good that you did a good level of carp care.
Well done again.
